Viking Tir

Viking Tir is one of a group of 6 longships built in 2019 for the Viking fleet. It will cruise along the Rhine and Danube rivers leaving from Budapest. This ship will cruise through Germany, France and Switzerland carrying up to 190 passengers and a crew of 50. Viking Tir has a Scandinavian themed decor and a choice of entertainment.

Accommodation on Viking Tir includes Veranda Staterooms, Standard Staterooms, French Balcony Staterooms, Veranda Suites and Explorer Suites.

Dining

The main restaurant on Viking Tir offers a variety of dishes from around the world as well as regional options. There is something for all palates in the main restaurant. For those that like to dine outdoors, The Aquavit Terrace is a perfect viewing point at the bow of the ship, a perfect Al Fresco option.

Hands-on demonstrations, cooking classes, traditional dance performances, and local tastings. These in-depth experiences are included as an essential part of discovering more about the places through which you cruise, and each activity is planned specifically to illuminate each itinerary.

Sometimes you want to dig a little deeper. We offer a series of onboard multimedia talks to shed light on the history and culture of the places you visit. Topics may include the Dutch Masters or French impressionists, castles along the Rhine Valley, the formation of the European Union, the life and works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the wine and cuisine of southern France, and key words and phrases in the local language wherever you are traveling. These presentations provide a context for your own observations, enhancing your travel experience.

Entertainment

Viking Tir has a Sun Deck with a sunbathing area as well as a shaded seating area with stunning 360 degrees views. There are many other facilities on offer including a library, an atrium, herb garden, walking track, putting green and the Sky Bar. Relax in the public lounges or enjoy a drink at the bar. Viking Tir has a main restaurant and an Al Fresco restaurant available to guests.
