Norwegian Cruise Line has introduced the newest member of its fleet, which will embark on its maiden voyages in 2023.

Norwegian Viva will be the second ship in the new Prima Class and will follow the Norwegian Prima - due to launch later this year - into service next Summer with a season based in the Mediterranean visiting the likes of Athens, Rome and Venice.

The ship will then head off to the Caribbean for the 2023/24 winter season with a base in Puerto Rico.

Capable of carrying more than 3,200 guests at double occupancy, the ship will feature over 100 'Haven by Norwegian' suites that provide the ultimate in luxury for those onboard, as well as a raft of impressive recreational attractions that are sure to enhance the whole experience of a holiday at sea.

These include the first karting track at sea to run across three levels as well as 'The Rush’ and 'The Drop'. The former is the first free-fall dry slide in the world, whilst the latter will provide the chance for two people to race from the top to the bottom on the dueling slides.

A 44,000 square foot outdoor walk way will wraps around the entire ship, whilst there will be no fewer than eleven different varieties of eateries in the food hall. Infinity style pools and glass walkways above the ocean will also feature for guests seeking an extra special cruise experience.

"Norwegian Viva sets the standard in the premium segment, illustrating our commitment to pushing boundaries in four main areas: wide open space, service that puts guests first, thoughtful design and experiences beyond expectation," Harry Sommer, president and chief executive officer of Norwegian Cruise Line, said.

"We have taken everything our guests love to the next level with this brand-new class of ships designed with them in mind."

Deals for the new ship are already starting to appear, some of which can be found on the deals page.
